Vietnam needs a generation of young people who are ambitious enough to enter the rooms where capital and influence are allocated - and disciplined enough not to be shaped by those forces in return.
VYPC is being built to help prepare that generation, together.
I began thinking about VYPC from a simple discomfort.
Over time, I have been fortunate to enter rooms, meet people, and see parts of Vietnam’s capital, business, innovation, and public-sector systems that many young people rarely get to see from the inside. But personal access is limited. If knowledge and relationships stop with one person, they remain privilege. They become more meaningful only when they help create a place where other young Vietnamese can learn, contribute, test themselves, and take responsibility together.
VYPC is my attempt to help build that place.
It is not a fully formed institution, and I do not want to pretend that it is. The first members will not simply join a program designed for them. They will help shape the culture, working methods, projects, and standards that future members may inherit.
My hope is to build a room where talent and inherited access can meet without either being worshipped; where ambition is welcomed but examined; and where people learn to use capital, professional knowledge, institutional access, and influence without becoming captive to them.
The purpose is not to make one person more powerful. It is to see whether a group of young people with different forms of strength can become more capable - and more responsible - together.
Viet Youth in Private Capital & Professional Services (VYPC Society) is a selective, youth-led community for young Vietnamese interested in private capital, professional services, family enterprise, public policy, and Vietnam’s long-term development.
It is not a networking club built around exchanging names. It is not only a finance or investment training program. And it is not a promise of prestige.
