Once your shelter or rescue joins the Findpet for Shelters program, you can add pets manually (see How do I manually add pets to my shelter account?) or through an integration with your Shelter Management Software (see What are the benefits of automatic pet data exchange with Findpet?).
For pets originally registered through your organization, your shelter's contact information can remain available as a backup recovery contact after the pet is transferred to a new owner. If someone sends a message through the pet's Findpet profile, both the new owner and your shelter may receive relevant notifications. This gives the pet an additional point of contact if the pet is ever lost or found.

Yes. Your organization can choose to participate in the Findpet Shelter Tag Program. The program adds a Findpet smart ID tag with a QR code to the other identification tools available through Findpet, including microchip registration searchable through the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool and biometric pet identification.
Depending on the program terms and the pet's status, shelter staff may also receive access to additional notification and Pet Access Log features. See What are the benefits of joining the Findpet Shelter Tag Program? for details.
Program pricing and tag options may vary. Registered nonprofit organizations may be eligible for special shelter pricing, including Findpet-branded or co-branded tag options. See How do I join the Findpet Shelter Tag Program? or contact [email protected] for current details.
