Municipality Agreement

Draft Cooperation Agreement

Between

First Party: Ramallah Municipality, located at "Dar Ramallah Municipality, 4 Issa Ziada Street," represented by the Mayor of Ramallah, Issa Qassis.

Second Party: Mr. Saleh Totah, holder of ID number (__), residing in Ramallah.

Introduction

Based on the belief of both parties in the importance of environmental protection, preserving biodiversity, and raising environmental awareness among community members, and in a desire to develop the joint-venture ecological and education center project "’Mashjar Juthour" within the Juthour nature preserve, located in Dahr Al-Aqda, Ramallah, Plot No. 20, Basin 7, the following has been agreed upon: The introduction of this agreement is considered an integral part of it and is read together with it as a single unit.

1. Purpose of the Agreement

This cooperation aims to:

Implement and operate the Mashjar Juthour project as an educational, environmental, and sustainable non-profit garden zoned within the Juthour Nature preserve.

Promote environmental awareness and education among the local community, schools, universities, and visitors.

Preserve local trees and plants, enhance environmental belonging and Palestinian identity, and increase regenerative planting and greenery.

2. Roles and Responsibilities of the First Party

Implement the basic infrastructure works (pathways, fence, entrance, restrooms, guide room, surveying works, and the access road to the garden), with the municipality covering these costs.

Provide the necessary logistical and technical support for the implementation of the project.

Ensure general supervision and alignment of activities with the municipality’s environmental policies and plans.

Prepare and implement the plan of environmental events and activities in partnership with the second party.
