1. Acceptance of Terms By downloading, accessing, or using VerseLock - Scripture & Prayer ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), provided by BetaByte, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. License We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
3. Accounts Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions and Billing The App offers optional premium subscriptions ("Premium"). Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
6. User Content You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, including journal entries, reflections, and prayer notes ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not claim ownership of it, and we process it only to provide and sync App features.

Intellectual Property The App, including its design, text, graphics, features, and Scripture and devotional content presentation, is owned by BetaByte or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Bible verse text and third-party devotional content remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Third-Party Services The App relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase (authentication, data sync, and analytics) and public Bible verse providers. Your use of these features may be subject to the third parties' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetaByte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
11. Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
