A RocketLevel SOP for owners, project managers and the office, backed by decades of experience in the trade. About a 5-minute read. It follows the eight parts of Template: The One-Page SOP, so copy it and change the blanks to match your shop.

Who this is for. Owners, project managers (PMs), crew leads on mitigation-only jobs, and whoever sends invoices. It picks up where The Final Walk and Punch List: Closing a Job So It Stays Closed leaves off, and on a rebuild it runs alongside stage 7 of The Reconstruction Handoff-to-Closeout Checklist.

Set this before you use the SOP:
Every day between job complete and final invoice sent sits inside your own walls, and every missing photo or signature is a reason for the payer to send the invoice back. A fixed closeout gets the invoice out fast and paid on the first pass.
Owner: the PM closes the file, or the crew lead on a mitigation-only job. The office sends the invoice and owns accounts receivable (AR) from there.
Starts: at the completion event you set above. Ends: when the final invoice is sent and the balance is on the AR aging with a payer contact and a follow-up date.
Target: final invoice out within 3 business days of completion. That is RocketLevel's working target, the same line as The Touchpoint Grading Sheet: Walk the Median Job and Grade It Against a Number, not a published benchmark. A lien or notice deadline that lands sooner always wins.
