@Hosted users/extensions are able to connect their end devices like SIP Phones, Softphones, etc, directly to the @Hosted platform. By default, when you set up a customised white label portal, we will assign you with a SIP Domain. You can view your customised SIP Domain from the Atomic portal by navigating to the Settings page of a specific account that is subscribed to a @Hosted Service Plan and by selecting the Hosted Voice tab.

To customise the SIP Domain to your own branding, you will need to have access to your domain’s DNS and add an A Record to your DNS with the below information.

<aside> 💡 Let’s say your provided SIP Domain is http://acme.voice.atomcomm.com and you want to change it to be hosted.acme.com.au and you own and have access to the DNS records for acme.com.au. Login to you DNS providers website and add a new A Record with the below information:

Type: A
Host: hosted (or whatever name you would like to use)
Points to: 52.63.188.118
TTL: 1 Hour

Once the A Record has been updated (it can take anywhere between a couple of minutes to a couple of hours for it to go live), you can then provide your end customers with your own SIP Domain to connect their SIP devices to your Hosted Voice environment.

<aside> ⚠️ Custom SIP Domains must be unique for each account. This means if your Custom SIP Domain is hosted.acme.com, you cannot re-use this for the next account. This value must be unique.
